Working within a joint team of architects and civil engineers, we were tasked with a re-use project. The IRT Powerhouse in Manhattan New York is currently owned by MAS NYC, who aimed to renovate it into a cultural space for the New York Public. Given its context of being situated in a world-famous theatre district, we designed the new building to be an external theatre centred around accessibility.
